The integration enables a socially-conscious marketplace to use promotional ‘codes for good’ to connect diners with restaurants and provide free meals to fight hunger.
Leading marketing technology company Eagle Eye Solutions is partnering with TangoTab, the popular socially-conscious mobile app that connects diners with restaurants to donate free meals to charity.
TangoTab was founded in 2010 by serial entrepreneur and philanthropist Andre Angel and has already donated 4 million meals to US charities fighting hunger. Listing over 100k participating food outlets, it donates a free meal to those in need every time a customer checks in to dine via its free mobile app.
Tapping into the rise of the ‘kindness economy’ and more conscious consumer consumption, the upcoming national launch of TangoTab will help embattled foodservice and hospitality operators drive footfall and sales as they look to recover in the wake of the Covid-19 lockdown. Instead of offering a discount, the app promises consumers that "when you eat, they eat": a donation made each time a diner checks in at a participating venue enables TangoTab to provide a local food organisation enough to cover the cost of a meal for someone in need.
Eagle Eye will play a central role in TangoTab’s UK launch. It will facilitate the customer check-in and donation process through its AIR marketing platform. It will generate unique "codes for good" at check-in to provide TangoTab with the real-time redemption validation it needs to collect its charitable revenues. Eagle Eye AIR will also provide the scale to rapidly build a charitable community marketplace for UK diners by connecting TangoTab to Eagle Eye’s extensive client network of over 5,000 UK hospitality venues.
