As the demand for "green rewards"—incentives that encourage environmentally friendly, sustainable, and healthier purchasing decisions—continues to grow, retailers are still figuring out how to effectively incorporate and execute these initiatives within their programs.

For grocers, adopting green loyalty strategies offers more than just an opportunity to support the planet; it also provides a unique way to engage customers beyond traditional price discounts. Our Green Loyalty Survey found that 48% of North American consumers consider it essential to shop with brands that align with their sustainability values, and 82% of those who prioritize sustainability are willing to pay a premium for eco-friendly products. Additionally, 73% of parents would pay more for sustainable options.
