Eagle Eye, a leading SaaS-based marketing technology provider, has been confirmed as the key loyalty platform powering Virgin Red—Virgin's innovative rewards club. Initially launched as an invite-only program in November 2020, Virgin Red opened to all UK members, including Virgin Atlantic Flying Club participants, on February 8, 2021. The Eagle Eye AIR platform was selected for its ability to manage billions of points in real time across a growing network of partners.
Virgin Red allows members to earn and spend Virgin Points across five key categories, combining Virgin-owned companies with third-party partners in retail, energy, and entertainment. Members can also donate points to support causes such as local charities, environmental initiatives, and small businesses, making the program both rewarding and socially impactful.
After signing a two-year deal with Virgin Red in early 2020, Eagle Eye collaborated closely with the Virgin team to deliver a scalable, real-time loyalty infrastructure. A major milestone was the rebranding of Virgin Atlantic Flying Club miles to Virgin Points in September 2020. All existing points were successfully migrated to the Eagle Eye AIR platform, which now serves as the central ledger of the program.
The AIR platform consolidates all point transactions across the Virgin Group and partner ecosystem. With real-time APIs, new partners can be integrated quickly, and offers or updates deployed instantly. Members can track their balance via the Virgin Red mobile app or website, with the confidence that Virgin Points never expire.
This agile setup supports a dynamic and personalized experience while enabling Virgin Red to evolve with changing customer expectations. The platform’s flexibility ensures future innovations—such as targeted offers, gamified engagement, and contextual loyalty campaigns—can be delivered at speed and scale.
